One of the joys of living in a tropical country is that people want to visit you. It was rare that people WANTED to visit Taiwan, it was really more of a visit to see us, not so much the country. BUT, in Singapore, people want to visit. They want to see the place, and of course-our being here is a nice bonus.
Over the last few weeks we have been lucky enough to have my dad and step-mom here. It has been great, we took the bus to KL (only 37 singapore dollars btw each way) and we also went to Malacca. The sites are awesome, KL rocks, the staying in a fantastic hotel is always nice as well.
The good news is also that by living in a tropical country, people want to come back...that is great too!
Best news, my dear friend Blythe is coming this weekend.. .I can't wait to see her, Jonas and Ada :-)

It's funny that Singapore is more of a draw than Taiwan. I've been to Taiwan twice and see it as a far more interesting and exciting tourist destination than Singapore!
isn't that funny. Actually, every one has said that Taiwan is actually more interesting, but there is something very seductive about the tropics!
